On December 12, 2017, at University of Opole, the fifth national scientific conference titled "Employment prospects for graduates" organised jointly by University of Opole, Statistical Office in Opole as well as Voivodship's Labour Office in Opole was held.
The aim of the conference was analysis and assess the preparation of university graduates to enter the labour market. This issue was analysed, among others, through the prism of demographic factors, the demand and supply side of the labour market, cultural conditions specific to Silesia as well as individual motivations and predispositions of graduates. Monika Bartel, Head of Division of Organisation and Registers of Statistical Office in Opole, presented information on graduates of Opolskie Voivodship and their situation on the labour market in the light of statistical research. During the conference, preliminary research results of university graduates in the context of their entry into the labour market were also presented. The study was conducted among students of universities in voivodships: Opolskie, Dolnośląskie and Śląskie. Conference was also a possibility to create interdisciplinary platform for mutual cooperation between scientific centres, public statistics and labour offices.
