Demographic conference - demographic situation of Opolskie Voivodship as a challenge for social and economic policy

On April 12, 2017 a conference "Demographic situation of Opolskie Voivodship as a challenge for for social and economic politics", organised by the Government Population Council in cooperation with Opolski Voivode and Statistical Office in Opole was held. Conference, under the honourary patronage of the Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Błaszczak was another in a series of debates devoted to anlaysis of demographic processes occuring in particular regions of the country.
The proceedings were opened by Opolski Voivode Adrian Czubak, then a chairwoman of Government Population Council professor Józefina Hrynkiewicz, habil. PhD and director of Statistical Office in Opole, Janina Kuźmicka.
During the conference, issues regarding the demographic situation of Opolskie Voivodship, situations of families, migrations of population related to the laboru market. The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss and exchange experiences regarding the actions taken in the context of the changing realities and needs of society.
Director of Statistical Office delivered a lecture on Demographic situation of the Opolskie Voivodship - current status and prospects.
The conference was attended by i.a. representatives of central and local government, employees of scientific facilities, academic circles, representatives of institutions important for the socio-economic development in the region and employees of the statistics resort. Conference was met with great interest among participants and representatives of local media.
