The aim of the study is to provide key information about the labour market in Opolskie voivodship and conditions of its functioning. In this year's edition changes have been introduced concerning the scope of the presented data and the layout of the study. In comparison with the previous editions the range of information has been extended to include a taxonomic analysis of the labour market, which resulted in a ranking of powiats, based on the compiled taxonomic indicator of the development. The methodological notes, analytical commen­tary and the tabular section have been grouped into the following areas:

• economic activity of the population,
• employed persons,
• registered unemployment,
• wages and salaries and social benefits,
• working conditions,
• taxonomic analysis of the labour market by powiats.
