Statistics in focus Commuting to work in Opolskie Voivodship in the light of the 2021 Census results

In Opolskie Voivodship in 2021, 133.2 thousand employed persons commuted to work outside of the gmina of residence, which accounted for 2.6% of all commuting persons in the country. There were more departing persons than arriving persons, which resulted in the low (0.54) flow quotient connected with employment.

Statistics in focus Population on the labour market in Opolskie Voivodship – preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021

This news release presents preliminary results of the National Population and Housing Census 2021 regarding the situation of persons on the labour market in Opolskie Voivodship. The observation period was the week preceding critical moment of the census, i.e. 25-31 March 2021 and the study covered persons aged 15 years and more. Compared to the results of the 2011 Census, there was an increase in the number of employed persons of 8.9% and a decrease in the number of unemployed persons of 71.4%.

Statistics in focus Housing conditions in Opolskie Voivodship – preliminary results of National Population and Housing Census 2021

There were 186.2 thousand buildings in the voivodship, in which there were 361.0 thousand dwellings. Their number increased in relation to 2011: by 6.2% and by 4.9%, respectively. According to preliminary results of National Population and Housing Census 2021 the number of dwellings and buildings equipped with particular installations and technical equipment increased compared to the results from National Population and Housing Census 2011.
