Since 1st January of 2009 new organisation of work has been in force in public statistics, resulting from introduction of specialisation of statistical offices. It involves assigning individual offices to carry out specific research throughout the entire country. Therefore, the previous rule of offices collecting all kinds of research only from the area of voivodship is longer applicable. Statistical data (reports) should be submitted electronically via Reporting Portal.
In accordance with the stature of Statistical Office in Opole, Price Statistics Centre is a specialist centre operating in the organisational structure of the Office, established by the President of Statistics Poland by Order no. 4 of March 21, 2012. The aim of Centre’s operations is carrying out national research for public statistics in the area of prices.
The task of the Centre is organising and carrying out statistical research in the field of prices of consumer goods and services, national average prices of consumer goods producers, prices of road and bridge works as well as structures, indices of export and import prices, producer prices of services, retail prices of agricultural means of production, prices of goods and services related to the purchase of flats and houses, as well as (market) prices in agriculture and cooperates in the regard with the relevant department of Statistics Poland at each stage of carried out research.
